Said: We do initial, than annually. Since our glucometers are waived, 6-month is not required - so we don't.

6 month glucometer competency - yes or no?
Good morning,
We currently provide initial training, give staff 6 month interim certification with tasks to complete within the glucometer, then annual recertification (tasks) based on their initial training date. Is anyone doing the same or are you giving the initial training then a year access? We require 6 month certifications for all of our other point of care tests as well. Thank you!
