Cleaning/Disinfectant - Regulatory standard?

Does anyone know if there is a regulatory standard for cleaning and disinfectant of instruments, one specifically stating that labs should follow manufacturer's recommendations regarding cleaning agent use and instruction? (Joint Commission, CLIA, CAP, etc?)
