POC glucometer testing personnel workflow
Aloha all,
Happy New Year!
We are a Women and Children's hospital where glucometers are only performed by our RN's in house, we are currently looking at also including our Clinical Assistants.
Could you please share your workflow? for normal results? critical result notification and process?
Are they allowed to run on all units or select units?

Said: We do capture charges, it is tied to the LIS code that the middleware orders when the result comes through. Not saying we get reimbursed appropriately for it, but we do bill (for all POC).
