iSTAT Set up

I'm bringing a new iSTAT on board and our LIS IT person doesn't know how to build the device in the DE server (we use Orchard for LIS, Epic for EMR). They asked me if I knew how to build out and I super don't. I've looked on Abbott's site and sent over a copy of the system manual, but I'm not sure that will get her the info she is looking for. Signature Elite ACT Annual Checks for CAP

We are moving to the Hemochron Signature Elite for ACTs. My question is - In order to stay compliant with CAP, do I need to perform an Annual Thermometer and Timer Checks? This does not seem necessary as the Thermometer and Timer (EQC) are both internal. I also did not see anything in the Operator's Manual that mentioned this as maintenance.
