iSTAT blood gases compared to GEM
Our facility has used iSTAT EG7 for blood gases along side Radiometer for years. We are now looking at replacing the Radiometer with GEMs. Any pros or cons on the GEMs? And also wondering how the GEM compares to the iSTAT.

POC critical results
Hello, I am new to this group and this is my first posting. I a POC specialist for a few POC labs that are located in free-standing ER's (no traditional lab on site).
The first part of my question is: How do your sites deal with critical results on POC tests? Do you have the nurses repeat the test for verification? We currently have them repeat because we can't verify the result in a traditional lab in a timely manner (it would be a send out test).
