Venous Blood Gas Samples

How does your facility collect venous blood gases? Do you allow sample to be drawn in a green lithium heparin tube or require blood to be drawn in a heparinized syringe--or allow both samples?

PT/INR Testing

Just wondering what everyone is using for their PT/INR testing in the hospital--our Endo unit wants to start using for patients on coumadin. Fairly low volume so waived would be best. We do use iSTAT for other testing--just looking to see what others might be using
