Our anesthesia department is interested in looking at the I-Stat for bedside testing.  They stated that they were mostly needing chemistries and H&H.  Potentially they may need ABGs.  Anyone have the I-Stats for Anesthesia used for these tests?  Or recommend another POC device we could look into?  Trying to find the best solution and potentially a waived testing platform as that would be easiest to monitor.  

Our facility has been very conservative in regards to transport of Covid swab specimens through our pneumatic tube system. The last CDC guidelines I could find from Oct '21 stated that "Each facility should conduct a site- and activity-specific risk assessment of the procedures performed, identifying the hazards involved in the process, the competency level of the personnel performing the methods, and the laboratory facility". Do you provide each patient the Patient Fact Sheet for the Abbott ID Now Covid 2.0? We noticed that one is provided with the new version 2.0 kit, and was wondering if this should be something added to a patient's MyChart for them to view as a patient education when they have a COVID-19 test performed. They are given the EUA narrative. Thanks!
