ACT Analyzers

Hi all-
My facility currently runs ACTs just a couple times a year. We have the Helena Actalyke MINI but would like to look at other analyzers. Any suggestions for a reliable, basic instrument?

I've used the Hemochron Signature Elite in the past. It's pretty good instrument with connectivity. But this seems like a lot of work if your facility only runs it couple times a year since it's non-waived.
Hemochron Sig Elite is probably the leader in the market, mostly because they've had the assay the longest. Don't know that they're necessarily the best. There's no waived ACT method, so no matter what you pick you've gotta deal with non-waived guidelines. Unfortunately there's no real core lab test that can be substituted for ACT. Though someone the other day on this blog was speaking of the ACT that is generated with a TEG assay - but not sure how that compares with standard POCT ACT.
We use the Hemochron Elite in CVOR and the i-STAT in ICU and elsewhere.
