PT/INR Recommendations for Outpatient Clinic

Can anyone recommend a waived PT/INR method for an outpatient clinic? I manage a hospital laboratory and am relatively new to point of care testing, so I welcome any advice. I've worked with the Hemochron Signature Elite in the past, but found that it did not correlate with our laboratory analyzer.

Check out the Coaguchek by Roche Diagnostics. A local coumadin clinic uses it. It is also what I use when testing my mom's INR.
I agree, the CoaguChek is a nice meter.

I have had experience with the Roche Coaguchek at the last facility I worked at and that is what we use at my present place of employment. I was POCC at my last job and at this job and I find them to be good reliable instruments.
Wow, the lucky mom who has her own personal POCC to perform her POC PT INR testing! ;-)
We also have used Roche Coaguchek in Anticoag clinics and primary care since it came out. It's been compared/studied across several analyzers and we've stuck with it. The anticoag (principle RN) Clinician likes it. Although she is not a fan of 'at home testing', that is not about the actual meter.

oh here's a tip maybe? depending on your hospital/lab purchasing structure. Since I'm in Clinics we have some flexibility (moreso than inpatient purchasing) and we get our coagucheks in promos where you buy a certain number of strips in one purchase and then get the meter/device. Now, that may ONLY be because we lack connectivity so have to use the waived xs meter...
