Aloha all,

Is anyone still performing Vaginal pH with wet mount procedures?  If so, what kits/manufacturer are you using?

We use Amniotest (nitrazine Yellow Swabs) by Pro-Lab Diagnostics(800 522 7740)

One of our Doctor's offices uses the VS-Sense Test, Rapid Acidity Test for evaluation of Vaginitis. QC is done using H2O.  Manufacturer is CS Common Sense Ltd.  Their email address is info@cs-commonsense.com.  Phone: 516-640-3951

Other offices are using pH paper for checking for amniotic fluid.  QC is done using buffers at pH 5.0 and 7.0

I was wondering what type of pH indicator strips everyone is currently using. Is everyone using phenaphthazine or are some using other indicators such as Sulfonephthalein? Is one preferred over the other? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Kelly
