Temperatures in drawing area where POC PT/INR's are performed

Hello everyone! Does anyone keep a temperature log/humidity for their POC PT/INR meters? We keep ours in the drawing area which is not temperature monitored. We keep extra strips in our cupboards, but our main supply is located at another clinic which is temperature monitored. We ship them out to our other sites as needed. These meters are moderately complex (Coaguchek XS Pro).

Review the manufacturer's guidelines and the test strip insert. There should be an optimal temp and humidity for the performance of the CoaguChek and the test strips. You should monitor temp and humidity to make sure operation and storage is within the manufacturer ranges. These are recorded daily. Use a NIST certified and calibrated thermometer. Thermcoproductsinc.com has some that have long calibration expiration dates.
Since you store extra strips in your cupboard, I would monitor the temp/humidity.
