INR results for HCT>55%

Hi

Those that use the Coagucheks, do you have a comment for your INR results to cover the times when a patients HCT is over 55% or what are other facilities doing for these situations?

As you know anything over 55% hct, the result on the Coaguchek may not be accurate

Thanks

Rarely do our POCT INR patients have a CBC/HH drawn.  We have a disclaimer in our procedure for the >55% Hct.  Our accuracy issues have been in INR values 4.0 INR and above, where we require a Laboratory drawn INR value for confirmation.

Thank you Max for your response.
