Anyone one have any feedback on correlations between i-STAT (CG8+ Cartridge) Testing performed in the NICU versus their Laboratory Blood gas machines?

Thank you,

We have been using the CG8 in the NICU for at least 6 years without issue.  Correlations are pretty good against Blood gas analyzer.  (We sometimes have trouble with Ionized Calcium passing 6-month correlations but it is rare.)

What is your TEA for Ionized Calcium at your facility?

I also am interested in what your TEA is for I-STAT iCa, and how you came to decide on it.  If I calculate my 3SD for correlation to our AVL iCa I have a consistent negative bias.

I use 2.1% from Data Innovations TEA chart.
