CPT code - Whole Blood Glucose using Nova Biomedical StatStrip

Does anyone who uses the Nova Biomedical StatStrip have any trouble using the CPT code 82947? Some staff on my end are hesitant that the description includes a mention of "except reagent strip". Please let me know.
