Siemens Clinitek Status+ hCG Quality Control

We are going to be using Siemens Clinitek Status+ for urine pregnancy testing. Siemens does not supply positive/negative urine hCG controls with this analyzer. Does anyone use this instrument and what QC product do you use. We would preferably like to have QC that does not need to be refrigerated, if possible.

TIA

I use bio rad quantify Advance controls ; think the item # is 12007028

they are little vials, 12mL, good for a month at room temperature. only draw back is for HCG, you must pop the stopper top off to fill up the pipette for the HCG cassette testing.

We only run QC once/ month, or each time they open a new box

Hello, we didn't go forward using Clinitek Status urine hcg due to the longer run time and tying up the analyzer in Womens where we have them for UA. During the trial period we used our Quantimetrix urine controls. We keep them refrigerated to extend expiration but they can be left at room temp for a month.

We use the Quantimetrix Dropper Plus. We have them refrigerate the box and then pull one set of controls out and leave them out for a month and then toss.

We use the Fisher Healthcare MAS controls 1 and 2. They come refrigerated and then can be stored at room temp in the department for 6 weeks.

Hello, we use Sentry Urine Controls by Thermo Scientific.  I initially started using these controls because they have a 12 month Room Temp expiration. They are 25 ml dropper bottles.   We have been using them a little over 5 years now and are very satisfied with their performance.

Hi Rick, do you have a link to the sentry urine controls package inserts? I am reviewing all of the inserts this year and can't find them online. Thanks! - Amanda

We use Quantimetrix Dropper Plus. It comes with 4 sets of positive/negative urine bottles in a box. So far no issues. All good.

Hi Rick, do you the Sentry urine controls on the Clinitek Status as well or just for HCG?

Amanda, I can send you a copy of the package insert, just send me your email.
