CAP Inspection

Hello everyone,
Our POC department is still very new (July 2020). Currently, my facility is accredited TJC and Lab by CAP. We want to get POC added and accredited by CAP. My question is: How quickly after we mention to CAP that we have a POC will inspection take place? We were inspected earlier this year so we are not due any time soon. Will inspection take place immediately if we add POC? Any information is appreciated.

Like Erika, I always go straight to the source and call CAP. That is why they are there, r to help us comply with all the rules and regulations. Have them send you all the information in an email with the case number for your records. This saved our institution from a citation for PT testing this summer! I had all the information and handed it to the inspector.
