With the nationwide shortage of sodium citrate tubes, our facility is looking into POC testing for Ddimers and INR's. What are you all using currently using?

Our ambulatory side uses the CoaguChek XS analyzer. We are considering bringing a few of those in-house on the hospital side and using them to do just PT/INR in a few of the units that perform the most testing for coumadin therapy. Not the best solution, since there is no connectivity for these analyzers, but it was something we could get in-house quickly. Not sure what we are going to do about DDimers......it's in discussion!

hi
2 of our regional sites use the CoaguChek PRO II [replaces the XS PRO] for INR. Both the PRO II and XS PRO have data management (docking station, result upload) capability.
For D-Dimer, those 2 sites use the Roche cobas h232 Cardiac device.
