ISTAT TELCOR Interface with Outside Clinics.

We are able to use Telcor to interface all of our iSTATs (onsite in our hospital and off-site in our clinics) and we use Epic Beaker. We have never had an issue with this.

Was there something special you had to do in EPIC to get that process to work?

Your Epic Beaker team has to build the order in Epic and turn on accessioning for the location where the testing will be performed. But I can't really speak to all of what they do on the Beaker side, but I know it is certainly possible. 

Terri is it possible to get input from you Beaker team. Our team just said it can't be done.

The problem stated from our EPIC analyst is the clinics/locations are set up as ambulatory clinics and not as a hospital outpatient department. 
That does not make sense to me. 

Can you ask your Epic Analyst to open a Sherlock with Epic? They should be able to show them what they can do to make it work. 

Would anyone that has the same setup, EPIC Beaker and TELCOR, using ISTATs in an Ambulatory clinic as a true POC device.
(Meaning you run the sample on the ISTAT, dock the ISTAT, and the order is created, resulted and charged) be willing to talk to me?

I have some question about the clinic setup in EPIC.
