Reporting SARS-CoV-2 results

Hi all - are you in charge of reporting your POC results to public health/your county/state? If so - do you get many out of state patients?
I got stuck sending daily emails to my county with our POC test results. Not a big deal for the first year as most folks were from the same county and really, there were limited results. Then our main lab PCR got added to my plate and in the past month our numbers have shot way up (~1000 per day, including POC and PCR) and the county is getting mad at me for sending them results for out of county patients. The report I'm currently working on has 24 results from patients who don't live in my state (again, this is ONE day) - including some from Canada. I'm working to try to get ELR online, but that is going to take at least a month. This is a nightmare and if anyone has any ideas on how to report all of this I would appreciate it - do you service walk in clinics that see patients out of state? how do you report results to the patient's home Local Health Jurisdiction?

We do Covid testing in POCT but it is the responsibility of the sites to report the results. Our LIS team has been working for the last year to set up automated reporting and they have it for our state De but not the surrounding states as of yet. For the lab reports we have a group of us that fax the results to the specific state daily. We have a report that comes in our email daily for all the previous days results, separated by state, along with the state DOH information and we take turns faxing the results. We have rightfax on our computers and since they are pdf’s we just fax from the email.
