Color Discrimination Testing

Just curious as to how you're meeting the CAP standard GEN.55400, Visual Color Discrimination testing. I try to catch the new hires when I present at orientation, but it's a challenge. I use a book with the Pseudo-Isochromatic plates and a form we created. I would like to do this electronically during other online pieces of their orientation and have Education involved. Is anyone doing this electronically or have a good system in place? Thanks!

Yes, our nursing orientation 'may' do color bind testing. Or... do they sometimes but not other times, eg RNs rate color blind testing yet medical assistants who do the bulk of manual WT do not get color blind tested because they are not "nurses"? So confusing!
I rely on the theory for manual waived tests that if they prove they are competent (to perform the manual test that involves 'color determination') through our assessment process, they 'passed' the color blindness question.
Disclaimer: our WT is not under CAP but I'd stick to this approach if we did have WT under CAP.
