HELP i-STAT Code 56!!

We are getting concentrated periods of Code 56 errors on the i-STAT (Code 56 occurs when the analyzer detects noise on the thermal circuit. The noise may be the result of electronic interference. If this code occurs, the analyzer should be moved to a different location away from potential sources of interference. If the code persists in the new area, the analyzer should be returned.)
They are not occurring all the time or even on the same analyzers--the only pattern I could see is that they are happening in the ED and ICU. Abbott was not able to explain what could be causing these interferences--my theory was portable x-ray machines or perhaps testing that was done on top of a portable computer station...not sure if anyone else has experienced these errors and figured out what could be the culprit! I would love to hear from you!!

We had this occur this past week as well. Only for one Istat operator, but on 3 different analyzers and in 2 different locations. I asked if she was carrying any other electronic equipment- have not heard back. Wondering if it could be due to static electricity?
We have this issue as well in our ED and mostly in our trauma bed. We did find that they were running samples at the same time as the xray machine and it was giving it fits. Once they started using it behind the shield it stopped having this error as frequently. In ICU I would look to see if the machine is next to a microwave that is in use. This has been my issue with a docking station randomly resetting itself.
