HMS plus interfaced with RALS

Good afternoon everyone
I am looking for the good, bad and the Ugly of interfacing our two HMS+ analyzers to RALS. Our hope is for the results to interface to RALS>Sunquest>EPIC. If you interface with RALS, do you send all results to Sunquest (Heparin Assay, ACT, and Heparin Dose Response) or just collect the data.
Thank you
Stephanie

We interfaced our HMS to RALS to EPIC. It was no different than interfacing any other device. We stopped using them about 2-3 years aqo. In our setting no one actually used the results for dosing Heparin. They just stayed with the protocol. It was wasted money.
Just finished with interfacing the HMS to RALS to Cerner. We send all three assays (HMS, HPT, ACT) but send only select data based on what we put in Cerner manually. Changed our test codes to match the print-out tape so I can better match code to result wheb spot checking. Biggest issue I had seen is with the HMS itself. Do not be in a hurry to press select keys when sending as it seems to confuse the software and not send all results. If I go slow, all tests are sent first time. If you have to resend, sometimes RALS doesn't catch that there are duplicates so, for now, I'm holding them in the flag file flag until I'm confortable with the process of sending from the HMS. Unlike Donna, we do use the HDR for dosing, and HPT for monitoring hep concentrations along with the ACTs.
