I have clinics wanting to implement Lead Level testing. If you do this at your outpatient sites can you please tell me about it.

-instrument used,
-Supplies and how you need to store them
-Waived or NonWaived
-Specimen- (fingerstick?)
-Is there a range that is sent out for confirmation?
-Reportable to the State- How do you do that
-Anything else :) THANK YOU!

Feel free to email me- Anastasia.Augustine@commonspirit.org

We have also recently been exploring POC Lead Level testing and are looking forward to any responses!

The only POC Lead Level Testing I know of is the Magellan LeadCare II Kit. Magellan has currently stopped manufacturing this kit due to some issues with the plastic used in its kit that is causing false low lead level results. I haven't heard word that they have fixed the problem yet or manufacturing kits again. My clinics haven't been able to perform POC lead for a good year or so now. We have been sending lead testing to the state or to our reference lab.

Instrument used: Magellan LeadCare II
Waived
Specimen: fingerstick-capillary
We follow the CDC. Anything >3.5 should have a venous blood drawn and sent for confirmation
Report to the state all lead levels weekly
