We are switching to the Nova StatStrip Glucose monitors this spring. I know many of you currently use it or are also in the process of switching.
What testing did you perform on EACH meter when you received them? I would expect to do QC and Linearity, but did you do patient comparisons on EVERY meter, or just a select few?
I was not POCC when we got our AccuCheks several years ago, but it looks like at the time they just ran patient comparisons on about 10% of the meters.

We are validation ours now and are doing 10% of meters for the patient correlations.
We did the same as Lois, a random 10% set of meters were put through the full patient correlation ringer.
We validated all meters, not just a subset. We ran QC, linearity and contrived, pooled patient specimens on all meters before putting into use. We happen to be a large institution and it worked out that Nova sent a tech specialist to assist our team with the validation. I would ask them - they typically provide validation protocol for what they recommend.
