ABL90 Calibration Verification

Good Morning Guys
first I want to thank everyone who helped with my i-stats question last month. I love this site. I have another issues I'm dealing with. We use the ABL90 here at our site and use the CAP linearity survey (LN13C). on the Calibration Verification I got a results of different for the po2, but passed linearity. I'm working on doing my Investigation and I'm trying to see if I'm doing too much or not enough. I ordered the VK7 from radiometer and intend on running that as soon as it comes in. I pulled the controls that week and everything was in, no trend notice. it looks like two points were right out the Allowable error. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Please forgive me if I'm missing detail that i should have put in the post. I'm still learning.

We don't use that product from CAP, but if my team was having issues with calibration verification and the issue was with the pO2 and an external sample (as yours is), I would review whether it was too high or too low and see if that correlates with the handling of the sample prior to running on the machine. We live at 7K feet and so when we pop open a vial, we have to be careful how we sample an external QC/CAL because of altitude and pressure differences and how fast the sample will equilibrate with the environment once opened. So maybe take a look at the value of the pO2 and how long you left the vial open or whether it was mixed according to directions and see if that explains anything? Just a thought...might not apply to where you live. Mary
Thanks for the suggestions. I just recently took over and I was just following what they were doing in the past until I can get a good hold on what i really should be doing .
We also have a number of ABL90s. We use the VK5 kit for linearities. I think the VK7 may be for the ABL835s. We also use the Eurotrol Hypoxic and Hyperbaric standards to extend the upper and lower ends for pO2.
