Hello Everyone
As I'm still going thru thing i was looking at our current billing for the ABL90 Panels and it looks ugly to me. We charge for the a typical blood gas than drop 4 additional charges. I'm curious how you guys might bill when you results your tests. Again thank you guys in advance for all the guidance that I receive which I will eventually pay it fwd. to the next.

Hi Elliott - this is often a mixed bag across facilities. I have seen facilities opt to bill for everything that has a CPT code to not billing anything at all. Some of the latter opinion do so because it is largely an inpatient population being tested and as such, it matters little what you actually "bill" for because the hospital receives the same pot of money regardless, based on the patient diagnosis. So, I think you could be "correct" either way...
We created 6 different panels in the ABL90 and they bill accordingly.
