HemoCue QC

Hello, what are you using for your HemoCue QC? We used to use the RNA product but was burned twice when they did no have the next lot of QC material ready after their current batch expired. We then switched to the Streck product, and it's ok but staff do have more failures than I'd like to see. It's probably due to their mixing process, but I'm wondering if anyone uses Eurotrol or R&D, or something else, and is happy with those. Thank you for your thoughts.

We have used Hemotrol QC by Eurotrol for the last 6 years and it has never been a problem. Currently have 2 HemoCue Hb 201 in our Nephrology practices.

I am the product specialist for Eurotrol and can help with any questions you have about our controls for Hemocue. We offer HemoTrol for the HemoCue Hb201 systems and HemoTrol Duo for the HemoCue Hb 301 and 801 systems.
Catherine...I will pass along your suggestion about longer open vial stability to R&D!
We use Eurotrol also and have not experience any issues with it.
