Covid Antigen kits

Does anyone have any recommendations for a waived Covid antigen test kit?  We currently use the Celltrion DiaTrust Covid-19 Ag Rapid Test, but these were ordered from a source that we usually do not purchase from during the pandemic.  We like these kits for the most part, but didn't know if we should try and locate where to purchase more of these same kits or if we should look into a different Covid Antigen Test kit.  These will be used at an outpatient clinic so it must be waived.

thank you!

We are embarking on a project with LumiraDx.

Hi Ashlee,
We use the Quidel Covid Antigen kit and we love it.  It is waived and very easy to run.  Hope that helps!

We have been using whatever our state DHS has sent us over the last 2 years. We have used Abbott Binax, iHealth, Quidel QuickVue and the on/go Covid 19 rapid tests. (It has been great fun writing a new procedure every time they send us something new!)
I preferred the Abbott Binax and the QuickVue At-Home OTC test.

fyi we are noticing  prevalent false positives with the Quidel QuickVue at home kit that results don't agree with itest, BinaxNow Sofia or PCR testing.  Quidel has denied any known problem.  At Least 2 different lot numbers

So far we've only used the BinaxNow covid antigen card test (just within a month). The #1 concern I have with it is that the extraction liquid is in one bottle in order to use 40 tests.  Fear the bottle will go missing (tossed out) and/or the drops are miscounted (into the test cartridge).

QC requires 8 drops of extraction liquid while patient test is only 6..

For a 'test to treat' protocol in urgent care clinics, we set up one 'collections and antigen card testing' room. The specimen swab does not get carried out, the patient leaves the room.

The swab cannot be put back into the paper sleeve, per IFU. Also the used card with swab still inside/sticking out of the card per IFU goes into a red bag for disposal. To expand to fam med clinic use it will be collected in exam rooms, swab carried out in test tubes. And nursing stations add red bags.

Don't use the GenBody antigen kit. Administration picked that for our facility and we failed our first proficiency event (33%) along with the other two labs in the peer group that were using this kit. We don't use it anymore.

Quidel Sofia and BD Verotor plus are readers that are CLIA waived - I find them to be easier and it eliminates human read errors on the lateral flow testing.

For bedside antigen testing, we are using the Quidel QuickVue antigen test kit.

My hospital  is trying to clear excess stock of quidell OTC if someone needs it below cost
