Competency Assessment Documentation

You do not need to keep a copy of each record in their competency file, but must have something that could trace back to the record. For example, an accession number for a test report or date of QC record reviewed.

Agree with Jonathan's response above. I just document an accession number when possible or a time/date for QC. That way if during the inspection they do ask for any kind of supporting documentation I have information needed to pull it up. Hope this helps. Good luck! I was in your same boat when I was new...it can be a lot to learn on your own if no one is on site to train you. This group or contacts you develop from this group help a ton. Reach out anytime. :)

I agree with Breana and Jonathan too! Always best to have a way to "show the proof" available if needed. I am so happy to see you on here btw!! Hope you are doing well!
