AVOXimeter 1000E patient results

Hello POC land!
The AVOX is new to my hospital. It will not be interfaced and results will be entered into GE Mac Lab by Cath Lab nurses. If any of you have this same scenario, how are you able to get patient results? I'm fairly sure I can't download results from the device like the Hemochron for monthly reports. I'm trying hard not to have to create a patient log sheet and depend on the nurses to document this. I already have a QC log form.  We also use Cerner. Is there a Cerner or Mac Lab feature anyone knows of that can pull reports?
What's your process? Is the patient log sheet the easiest way to go-lol?

We use a paper log. We recently looked at the possibility of getting rid of the paper log, but after doing a few audits and finding missing entries and incorrect entries we did not feel this was possible. I also am interested in other facilities' processes.

We have a really old computer in our Point of Care office for the soul purpose of being able to run the software to download the hemochrons and avoximeters.  (At some point we will interface them with Unipoc.)  This allows us to download the avoximeter using the Oxy Review_Beta 1 software.  Our Cath lab keeps a record of all the Right Heart Caths.  They send me this list and I go into each patient's Cardiac Cath report and compare it to our downloaded report (which is dropped into a spread sheet.)  I am able to confirm the following...
1. Optical filters are run each day of patient testing.
2. QC is ran weekly.
3. Make sure there are no transcription errors.
4. Make sure there is a 2 tech verification comment in each report.
This day and age you'd think the manufacturer would keep the software updated so we can download their product or have some sort of process to download the analyzer and collect the data.

Our avoximeters are interfaced via Telcor QML. From Telcor we can pull and review QC reposts for the liquid QC and filters as well as pull patient reports.

We use a manual log sheet for patient results.  Avoximeter operators are required to document results on the log sheet and they document in Mac Lab which posts as a report in our EMR (we have Meditech).  Each month I go through at least 5 patient charts to review and ensure the results were documented in the EMR and match what has been documented on the log sheets.  There are instances where results are not documented in the EMR due to them closing out the report in Mac Lab too soon at the request of the provider so that they can sign off on it.  When this occurs I have them either scan in the results into the chart or add them as a note since the Mac Lab reports cannot be re-opened and edited we find this is the easiest way to get the results into the medical record.
