Acceptable iSTAT method comparison

Hello!
We run CG4+ (only for lactic acid) on the iSTAT using lithium heparin samples. The main lab runs lactic acid on gray top tubes. Since they are different sample types, are they an acceptable method comparison? This is a new test in a new hospital and was validated by Abbott on the Dimension using lithium heparin samples before the hospital was open. Sample type wasn't an issue at that time.
Help! What do I compare iSTAT lactics to??
Thank you all so much!!
