We recently switched from a gas method that had wide ranges for hemoglobin fractions to a new method that has a narrower range and can give a <1 value. This makes getting a temperature corrected value difficult when using the formula that includes values for the fractions (carboxy or met-hemoglobin).
To those that use ABL90s: Are you temperature correcting? What formula (of the three options) are you using.

We have a transport team that travels with Siemens EPOC. The card, capillary tubes and EPOC are to be kept between 59-86F. Anyone with ideas on monitoring and documenting the temperatures, also what type of container do you use to transport the EPOC and supplies.
